Teaching

I’m currently teaching courses in the Department of Communication at the University of Arizona. My teaching topics include organizational communication, communication technology, and research methods.

Prior to my time at the University of Arizona, I taught for several years at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism during my Ph.D. studies. During the Summer 2017, I was the instructor for the graduate-level Analytics & Research Methods course for the Digital Social Media M.S. program at USC Annenberg.  For that class, I developed a syllabus, lectures, and assignments that taught students to both critically evaluate research that has already been conducted and to develop a plan for conducting their own research. I also taught Public Speaking. I was also an instructor at the Experiential Learning Center at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. I facilitated innovative experiential exercises and conducted extensive debriefs with students at the business school. This helped me develop my passion for interactive and action-oriented learning. For most of my courses, I focus on making the classroom an experiential learning space.
